Context

Product information for the company already lived in Airtable, but getting it into Shopify — including metafield data — was a manual process. Micah was hand-entering that information into Shopify himself, which created repetitive work as product volume grew.

Role

Micah identified the manual process as unnecessary overhead and designed and built the tool described below.

Approach

Micah built a CSV translation tool that takes product data directly from Airtable and transforms and maps it into Shopify-compatible product data, including properly formatted metafields — turning a manual re-entry task into a repeatable data pipeline between the two systems.
