About
Computers have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. In first grade, I had my own computer that I used for writing. By high school, I was teaching myself HTML and beginning to understand that working with computer systems was something I wanted to keep doing. I eventually pursued a degree in computer science to build a stronger foundation around something I'd already been drawn to for years.
My career became more specialized through the problems I encountered on the job. I was originally hired to manage a Shopify store, where one of my first challenges was untangling and rewriting inherited theme logic that had become difficult to maintain.
From there, the work kept expanding beyond the storefront. Managing e-commerce meant understanding the systems behind it: how product data is structured, how Shopify communicates with an ERP, how integrations move information between platforms, and where manual business processes can be automated.
Today, I work across Shopify, NetSuite, Celigo, and the operational processes connecting them. Sometimes that means building storefront functionality. Sometimes it's tracing a data-flow problem across multiple systems, designing an integration, or building a small tool because doing the same thing manually doesn't make sense.
That's the part of the work I enjoy most: understanding how the pieces fit together and finding a practical way to make the whole system work better.
